Jerimiah 3:15 states “And I will give you pastors according to mine hear, and they will feed you with knowledge and understanding”.

While the world of hip hop is flooded with flamboyant rap artist, platinum chains, and meaningless messages, there remains a remnant that refuses to conform to the ways of the world. Steadfast in his faith 20 year old Street Pastor has emerged as an urban missionary to those influenced by Hip Hop culture. With over eleven years of experience in the ministry the “young veteran” seeks to be a model and a messenger of the gospel’s transforming power especially (but not exclusively) among the hip hop generations.

Yaves Ellis AKA Street Pastor has been trailblazing the Christian Hip Hop scene for the past decade. Beginning at the age of nine with the group R.O.A.R. the young emcee quickly made a name for himself by holding his own in a arena that was flooded with artist that were at least ten years his senior. Traveling to over 12 different states and performing in front of audiences all over the nation landed him coverage on national platforms like C-SPAN. After the split of the group in 1999 the Street Pastor continued to build where the group left off.

7 years and 2 self produced, self written albums later ( The Bigger Picture, and Scripted In Concrete). The Street Pastor is still putting in work. With the major underground and online success of his first two projects; which have recorded sells as far as Hawaii; Street Pastor is a force to be reckoned with.

This minister, entrepreneur, producer, motivational speaker, and national recording artist, is functioning in his God given gifts and keeping his mind focused on ministry.
The “young veteran”, as many call him, has a unique ministry which has given him the opportunity to minister to the multitudes, rather it be in the prisons, schools, streets, or the churches Street Pastor provides a message that cuts straight to the hearts of men.

For every congregation there is a pastor, one who has been called to deliver what thus says the Lord. Street Pastor has been called to shepherd the sheep that refuse to step foot in the church. Though the odds seem to be against him, Street Pastor realizes that the mission he is on is backed by Christ, which makes all things possible!
